Kilig. (adj.) It is a sudden feeling of joy. Maybe an anticipation of joy, or just being overwhelmed with your unexplicable emotions you are feeling right at that moment.

I like how there’s really no English definition for it. The definition stated above can’t even… describe perfectly what kilig means. When one tries to define kilig, they usually cite experiences that create that feeling of butterflies in your stomach or shivers down your spine – but in reality, it is a little bit of all of those; it’s the butterflies, the shivers, the way your lips suddenly break into a huge smile, the bashful biting of your lower lip. It’s everything and anything; it’s the shooting stars, the fireworks, sparks.

It’s that kind of feeling where there are no words, only sounds, only feelings.

That kind of feeling I somehow get when I’m with you.
